Welcome to the Suzuki Studio
Chantal has been teaching Suzuki Violin for over 30 years.
She has an advanced accredited Suzuki teaching qualification.
Chantal has been an invited guest to many International and local Suzuki Festivals. She has also taught at Scotch College, Presbyterian Ladies College, and Carey Grammar where she helped pilot and develop the Suzuki programs.

Chantal has much professional performing experience and has played with orchestras such as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, The Australian Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Charleston Symphony Orchestra, USA.
Chantal has a music degree from the Victorian College of the Arts in violin performance and has also studied in the USA with Dr. Jerry Lucktanburg, a student of Ivan Galamian (Julliard Professor).
Chantal worked and studied in the USA for 10 years before settling happily in Woodend, Australia with her husband Derek Jones. Derek is also a musician who is a Senior Lecturer of Flute and Head of Woodwind at Melbourne University.
Chantal and Derek have three children who have also studied Suzuki music from an early age and have gone on to become musicians.
Many of Chantal’s students start from the early age of 3 and continue on to complete their year 12 violin VCE performance exam and to University level.
Chantal Teaches from two studio sites. Her established studio in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne at Ashburton, and also her developing studio in the Maceodon Ranges Woodend. There are individual lessons, group classes and concerts offered at both studios. Online lessons are also available.
